The 7th Armored Division (第7師団 Dai-Nana Shidan) is one of nine active divisions of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. The division is the only armored division of the Japan Ground Self Defense Force. It is subordinated to the Northern Army and is headquartered in Chitose, Hokkaidō.

Background[]

This is the division that is often used by Japan to send military aid, such as war with the kingdom of Louria, and aid to Mu country. The Commanding Officer of this army is Ouchida Kazuki, Lieutenant General of the JSDF.

The 7th Division is known for decimating exterminating the majority of Louria's ground force and destroying Gra Valkas' strongest armored division, the 4th Armored Division.

Chronology[]

Rodenius War Arc[]

Japan decides to dispatch the 7th Division under the command of Lieutenant General Ouchida Kazuki after Gim has fallen in order to protect Qua-Toyne Principality and to ensure the distribution of food remains in place. During the Battle of Ejey, Japan's 7th Division obliterate all of the Louria invasion Army with exception of one survivor, Muller who went to investigate after the army was defeated.

Later, the 7th Division led their troops and leading Qua-Toyne's Army to liberate Gim and reclaiming back that was once lost to the hands of the Louria Kingdom, effectively ending their invasion.

After the battle, Ouchida Kazuki proposed the Pacification of Jin-Hark to Qua-Toyne Prime Minister Kanata which the senate also reluctantly approved of this due to the majority of the voters decided to leave the methods in Japan's hands and trusting them.

Strength[]

As the strongest armored division of the JSDF, the division consisted of 5 tank squadrons, each with 15 Type 90 Main Battle Tanks (75 in all). A motorized infantry regiment which had 6 motorized infantry companies and 1 mortar company. The artillery regiment contained 4 155-mm self-propelled howitzer battalions (10 guns in each).

In all, the armored division had about 6,500 men, 230 tanks, about 350 Mitsubishi Type 89 IFV and Type 73 armored personnel carriers, 40 self-propelled howitzers, 48 mortars (81-mm and larger), 12 106-mm recoilless weapons, 40 35- and 40-mm self-propelled air defense systems, along with other armament and support systems.

The 1st Airborne Brigade are currently assigned under the Command of 7th Division.

Trivia[]
