The Nakajima A6M2-N (Navy Type 2 Interceptor/Fighter-Bomber) , the reference for GVE's Acrux Seaplane
Acrux is a special attack aircraft of the Gra Valkas Empire. It is developed and manufactured by Carsline, Gra Valkas Empire’s aviation munitions company.
Description[]
The Cetus-class submarines can mount three Acrux seaplanes. The plane is based on the seaplane version of the A6M Zero fighter of the IJA, the Nakajima A6M2-N Rufe Floatplane.
Unlike Antares, Acrux added a folding mechanism for the main wing to fit the narrow space on a submarine, along with a buoy to help it float on the water, with the cost of slower speed and shorter flying range due to increased weight and air resistance.

Operational History[]
In the LN version, the existence is mentioned in the item of Cetus-class submarine in the Volume 5 glossary, but it has not appeared in the plot and has no activity.
In the WN version of "Immediate War 1", a prototype surface fighter from the 24th E-400 (Batan Kaitos in the Vol 6 of LN), a member of the Gra Valkas Imperial 2nd Submarine Fleet, has attacked a large Japanese car carrier named Ikai Maru (DRIVE NEW WORLD in the LN) and gunned down the survivors. The name of the pilot of the Acrux is Astor.
Trivia[]
- The origin of the name seems to be from the Acrux, the proper name of "alpha-southern Crucifix", a star in the Southern Circus, one of the first magnitude stars in the whole sky on 21st century.
- In real life, the Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter also has a seaplane version, the Nakajima A6M2-N.
