Adventurers or Sellswords are mercenaries that are hired by individuals, organizations or governments to act as combatants to defend against various threats, maintain orders, or to complete a difficult task that they cannot afford.

They are prevalent in medieval-level countries outside civilized area as these countries lack proper security administrations and forces to govern order in their society and adventurers also a mean to bolster military force in time of needs. This is shown in Topa Kingdom when several sellswords were hired to deal with Nosgorath threat. Adventurers were also considered a significant source for the military ranks of the Nahanath Kingdom.
Adventurers are, honestly, willing to make almost any contract as long as they get decent enough pay. That makes many of them extremely reckless in the face of lucrative contracts that despite their lives, while not well aware of or just ignoring the task's risky level. A typical example was when countless adventurers died while attempting to attack the Gra Valkas Empire's Great Fleet at the call of the Holy Milishial Empire.
All adventurers operate under a private organization called the Adventurer's Guild.
Countries in the Civilized Areas as well as Japan and Gra Valkas Empire have no need for adventurers due to the existence of their own police force.
