Summary[]

In another part of the world, the Topa Kingdom which guards a narrow strip of land that connects the Philades Continent and the Grameus Continent it is renowned as the place where the Four Heroes who alongside the Emissaries of the Sun God sealed the Demon Lord. Since then the Doors of the World, for a hundred years, has been protected by the Topa Kingdom to prevent the invasion of the Philades Continent from demons.

At the Doors, Gai and Moah discuss that despite ten years passing only a total of ten demons had been signed from their watchtower. Suddenly Moah sees something out in the distance. It's a horde of goblins, which Gai thinks goes beyond anything from the demonic beasts usual habits. Not only that there are orcs among their numbers, which only could mean some high-ranking demons are leading them. The pair soon spot the Blue Ogre and Red Ogre and finally Nosgorath leading an army towards the Doors.

At the Fenn Kingdom, Sword King Shihan addresses his court that the Parpaldia Empire demanded the kingdom's southern forestland in order to seal an "alliance" between their two nations for Fenn's "protection". Shihan refused them as he and his court see the Empire as the greatest threat to their nation's security. However it appears that the Empire is intent on claiming Fenn's territory, and it is expected that war will be upon them.

In response Shihan contact the Gahara Thearchy for aid. As for Fenn, the king and his retainers are intent to protect their nation to the death, as it is a matter of pride and honor. One of the Sword King's retainers informs Shihan about the arrival of an envoy from the new nation of Japan which defeated the Louria Kingdom.

Shihan takes an interest in learning more about the nation, having heard of its victory, and the benefits that the Qua-Toyne Principality and Quila Kingdom received from their relationship with Japan. He then meets with the two envoys, one being Shimada.

Before proceeding with negotiations, Shimada presents the king with gifts from Japan which includes a pearl necklace, footwear and a katana. The items are taken with marvel, and even Shihan recognizes that they are the result of a very advanced nation. The Sword King expresses his interest in forming a relationship with Japan much to the envoys delight, though the former makes a request to see the famed iron ship of Japan. In a form of goodwill, Shihan invites Japan to display their military might against four derelict ships that were scheduled to be destroyed.

At Paradis Castle in the Parpaldia Empire an official demands to known what happened to their punitive force in Fenn as well as what us happening in the Altaras Kingdom. To his subordinate he tells him that as the Third Foreign Affair Office, they are barbarian country specialists that ridicule their enemy and wring them dry be it for land, people or wealth. For this sole purpose they will utilize the Imperial Oversight Army against those nations. Around the same time at the same bureau, an envoy from Japan tries to make inroads to speak to someone in authority, which he has been for three months. However the representative refuses to do so, on the grounds that the summary of their diplomatic negotiations being unacceptable such as the Japan refuses to accept the Empire's extraterritoriality, as the Empire refuses to see Japan on equal footing. The representative states the rankings of civilization to Japan's envoy, with Japan being located in the Outside Civilization Area, to underline the lack of seriousness the Empire has for nations from the area.

Back at the Doors, the defenders of Topa try holding off against the Demon Army, as their defenses are being whittled away. The captain in charge of the fortress, gives orders to Gai to get Moah out and escape. The remaining soldiers at the fortress then meet their end as the doors are breached and they are all slaughtered by Nosgorath.
