Background[]

After the successful Liberation of Leifor by the World Union, in Japan, an assault on the Irnetia Kingdom was planned out as Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Foreign Affairs were discussing how to assault Irnetia due to the Holy Milishial's neglect of their mainland defenses, as the waters surrounding HME was remain infested by the Gra Valkas submarines that occasionally sunk commercial ships. Also, The Holy Milishial prepares their assault force for the big battle at the Gra Valkas mainland, and it is said that the preparations will take two years to launch the assault. Japan also starts to prepare for the said battle.

On Ragna, Emperor Gralux and the rest of the imperial government are preparing for the peace talks while he wants Xand Pastall to strengthen the military.

Meanwhile, Japan's Embassy in Mu received orders to deploy Asada to the Silkark Kingdom, an island Nation in the Southeast of Rodenius Continent. Asada was relieved after taking a hot seat of diplomatic work ever since the war between Gra Valkas and the World Union began.

Prelude to Battle[]

At first, Asada thought that his Silkark assignment will be not as hot as during his Mu assignment, but during the talks with Silkark government officials with regards to the construction of an airport in the island nation, an intruder interrupted the ongoing negotiations between the two countries. A Magic Airship intruded unto the kingdom capital's airspace. Asada grumbled that he might become as busy as during his Mu assignment again.

The said intruders came from Cryseilis Holy Kingdom, a militaristic island nation located 3,000km south of the Rodenius Continent. Due to the turbulent seas, this region had no contact with the rest of the New World, as very few ships were advanced enough to reach it. To counter this, they've developed Magic Airships to subjugate other nearby islands. In recent years, financial resources have deteriorated due to increased spending. As a solution, Military King (equivalent to a Supreme Commander or Joint Chief-of-Staff) Minett proposed the northwest expansion plan based on technological innovation. He concluded that the countries northwest of the kingdom were technologically inferior compared to Cryseilis, even boasted that even the Parpaldia Empire was no match for them. However, Divine King Geuge disagreed and proposed peaceful contact with their neighbors.

Fast forward, during the negotiations between Japan and Silkark Kingdom, diplomats from the holy kingdom led by Kamulla demand that Silkark must surrender to them or face destruction. However, Mira, one of the knights of the Divine Princess Neith, stated that it is against the will of Divine King Geuge. Kamulla replied that he has the authority to declare war, as it is the will of the Divine Prince Yalisra. Kamulla added that Divine King Geuge had 'mysteriously' passed away, leaving the leadership of the kingdom to the divine prince. Mira was shocked and said to herself that the Divine Prince was only five years old. Kamulla also added that Divine King Geuge has passed away, leaving the government affairs to be run by the Third Queen Lamis, and Military King Minett is now in-charge of Foreign Affairs. Silkark officials stated that if they are planning to attack the kingdom, Japan will retaliate with military force. However, Cryseilian military diplomats scoffed the Japanese threat when they noticed the Kawasaki CH-47J Chinook of the Japanese government that serves as transport service. The Chinook was detected 150 km via their Conductive Magnetic Radar and commented that they it was small to carry anti-air weapons, citing the naivety and the same mistake of Japan's previous enemies.

Asada was again in disappointment as he received an e-mail from the JMFA Office that Cryseilis had done gunboat diplomacy against Silkark. The Silkark government had already sent a letter to the Holy Milishial Empire and Mu, stating that an emerging threat was once again appeared from a so-called "Out-of-Range Civilizations", and might threaten the community of nations northwest of Silkark, while the hostilities in the still on-going New World War were temporarily subsided.

Mira returned to the holy kingdom and reported immediately to the Divine Princess Neith. Neith however told her that the Cryseilian military had suppressed Mira's report about Japan and immediately prepared for war. In order to gain intelligence as well as to prevent war, Neith allowed Mira to form a research team that will go to Japan. Returning to the Japanese embassy in Tacaq, Mira was astounded by the embassy, as it is teeming with 'magical' technologies. Mira was met by Asada and asked the latter to let her and the Cryseilian research team to visit the Japanese mainland. However, Asada didn't agree first as they are not belong to the official delegation. But, after minutes of negotiations, Asada agreed and set the visit of the Cryseilian research team at a later date.

Fast forward, on the Silkark Training Ground, the airship arrives. Asada, Dr. Ide, and SDF Officer Tashiro gave their own perspectives about the Cryseilis airship. Ide comments that Cryseilis airships lack aerodynamics to fly, but he assume the materials were extremely light. If it was used as a cargo carrier, then it could pose a threat as Ide's analysis may indicate that this Cryseilis airship is not the main force.

Back to the Cryseilian delegation, it turns out that the Divine Princess Neith was also participating in the research team in disguise as the airship lands on the Silkark's training ground and prepares to disembark.

Research Mission to Japan[]

See Cryseilian Research Mission to Japan for details

Prelude to Battle[]

Despite entertaining the delegation, Japan used the two months to prepare for any potential conflict. By the time the two month deadline expired, Japan had deployed a JGSDF contingent to the island and deployed ships from Escort Flotilla 4 in the seas around the area. A deployment wasn't preferred, but deemed as necessary, partly due to diplomatic pressure from the 2nd Civilization Area and the Central World. Since there was no airfield suitable for either the ASDF or MSDF's aircrafts, Japan convinced Parpaldia to deploy a wyvern carrier force to support them, bringing along Parpaldia's untested Wyvern Overlords to serve as air power for the coalition. Parpaldia dispatched reinforcements, with 20 Dragon Carriers, 200 Dragon Knights, including those who were stationed at Silkark. Parpaldia remained to their main objective, to regain their pride as the strongest nation in the Third Civilization Area.

The Coalition[]

The current Commanding Officer (CO) of each representatives were:

Silkark:[]

  • Visek - Knight Captain and Commander of the Royal Capital Defense
  • Heisil - Dragon Knight

Parpaldia:[]

Japan:[]

Visek gave a bad impression about Japan, but Heisil quickly reprimanded him. Hamuth volunteered to talk and was eager to take the first line of defense while Japan's Airfield was under construction. The Parpaldian side requested to use Silkark's wyvern stables to accommodate their forces of Wyvern Overlords. Japan also faced some difficulty, such as the lack of FoF (Friend-or-Foe) tag for Parpaldia to determine ally and enemy on battle, and GSDF currently unable to cover a vast area. Bayer attempts to provoke Japan by telling the Japanese that they don't have a way to bring out naval air power, while the Parpaldian aerial units would provide air cover for both Japan and Parpaldia's fleet. Captain Hirata only replied that PE's fleet can't keep up with Japan, and he warns Bayer that Wyvern Overlords may be shot down due to lack of FoF identification, which Bayer hesitantly agreed. Instead, Hirata offered to divide the defense zone, which left Bayer silent and Silkark military astonished. Parpaldia understood that Japan's fleet has a strong information network. Though nobody in the New World can explain on how Japan's military information network works, which defies their common sense of communicating. Recalling the previous war, Japan did not ask for any assistance. Rather, some volunteered to assist Japan with ulterior motives.

After the discussions, the results were the following:

  • Tacaq, the capital of Silkark would be defended by PE's Wyvern Overlords, JGSDF would be supported by Silkark Knights.
  • JMSDF would station 4th Escort Fleet 150 km South East of Tacaq, near Hisy Island, while the Parpaldia Empire's fleet would deploy 150km East of Tacaq. PE would operate in designated area, while Japan would be more flexible.
  • Renegotiations would be held once Japan's airfield is finished and can accept aircraft.

On the Cryseilian side, Divine Prince Yalisra would began to lead the conference on the conquest of the Northwest of the New World. Despite the research mission, other officials dismissed the claims as possible illusion magic and Military King Minett put his faith in excavated weapons from the Darkmoon race, a group that opposed the Ravernal Empire millennia ago. The Air Fleet, was forward deployed to the most northern vassal state, and ordered to begin the invasion.

Battle[]

First Battle between Cryseilis and Japan-Parpaldia-Silkark Coalition[]

Over 40 Wyvern Overlords launched towards the incoming aerial fleet. The Cryseilis commander saw them on radar, and was astounded by their speed of over 300km/h. To prepare for the incoming attack, the fleet raised its altitude and each ship prepared by charging anti-aircraft rotating magic cannons on the decks. As a counter measure, several ships cast ice magic on their decks to prevent damage by wyvern fireballs.

The two sides made contact with the Wyvern Overlords diving from above and launching fireballs. Due to the ice magic, developed by Cryseilis military research, the damage was minimal. Their anti-aircraft cannons, slower than either Japan, the Gra Valkas Empire, or the Holy Milishial Empire, were still effective against the Parpaldian dragon knights. One airship was struck by fireballs that managed to trigger its internal ammunition stores, and it promptly exploded before crashing into the sea. Several others ships sustained minor damage, but no more losses. After 31 wyverns had been lost, the Parpaldians retreated.

Despite the loss of an airship, which the officers brushed off as an older model, they considered the battle a victory. They continued on towards the Silkark Kingdom, intending to strike its capital directly while ignoring Parpaldia's naval fleet.

As they neared the island kingdom, the JMSDF 4th Escort Group was able to contact them via radio. The commander warned them that if they proceeded further, the Escort Group had a duty to protect Japanese citizens on the island and would attack them. The Cryseilis commander arrogantly refused, stating it was their duty to free the Silkark Kingdom from its 'barbarian' rulers.

The Japanese fleet then began launching RIM-66 Standard Surface-to-Air Missiles at the Air Fleet. The first missile was noticed on radar, but arrived and destroyed an 80-gun airship before they could even realize what it was. To defend itself, the Air Fleet used a high magic output, three-layer defensive strategy that involved flying in formation and using a magic beam guided by radar to attack distant targets, high output magic 'flak' meant to fend off wyverns, and finally their anti-air rotating cannons that were also linked by radar.

Since the Japanese ships were attacking from beyond radar range, they could not attack them. Worse, the magic beam was too slow to hit the missiles. Since the Japanese missiles are semi-active radar homing (SARH) missiles, the Cryseilian magic flares had no effect. And despite being able to fire 100 light bullets per seconds, the anti-air cannons couldn't shoot down the missiles as the radar guiding them couldn't track the SM-2s fast enough. Over 32 airships were destroyed.

Realizing the power of Japan, the Cryseilian commander ordered the Air Fleet to retreat to their staging ground at Sekitomei, on the island of Talkris.

Japanese counter-attack[]

Almost immediately after the Air Fleet retreated, Japan's 4th Escort Group set sail for their enemies' forward base with the intention to strike it. Despite having air bases and refueling aircraft in Rodenius, the JASDF couldn't project its power far enough to carry out the strike, and diplomatic pressure forced Japan to send the JMSDF instead.

At Sechtomay Combined Base, the Cryseilian officials broke down the events of the battle, and quickly realized Japan was too powerful to beat. Without the Air Fleet, conquest was impossible, and Japan's weapons were impossible to stop. Counter-measures such as sacrificing wyverns to use up Japanese ammunitions was discussed, but the mood did not improve. Despite this, other officials refuted the commanders, pointing out that giving up after only one defeat and when only 1/6 of the total military was destroyed was simply impossible to accept.

After several days, the 4th Escort Group arrived 150km off the island of Talkris early morning and began launching Type-90 SSM-1B Ship-to-Ship Missiles, modified to hit aerial and ground targets, the same missiles used during the Great Naval Battle of Esthirant, towards the joint base. Two airships flying on patrol were hit, and one crashed directly into a barracks, immediately causing immense human casualties. Further missiles appeared on the horizon, striking the Command Center, the Magic Fuel Depot, and numerous airships at rest on the ground, wiping out another third of the Air Fleet.

Having destroyed the enemy base and all but 30 airships, the MSDF 4th Escort Group returned North.

Post-Battle Events[]

Uproar at Cryseilis War Council Meeting[]

Back at Ceider, the said defeat and the destruction of the Sechtomay Combined Base caused a huge uproar of emotions at the Cryseilian War Council. Seiruto, the Commander of the Holy City Defense Dragon Knights, can only shout in anger when he read the report. They were debating about Turquoise's decision not to deploy the Dragon Knights for air support, not to mention the airship fleet suffered heavy losses without finding the Japanese fleet. Kamulla , however, concurred with Turquoise's decision as deploying the Dragon Carrier Air Fleet would result in the same result: defeat against the Japanese. Seiruto mistook Kamulla 's message as an insult to their Wyvern Corps but Kamulla debunked Seiruto's anger, demanding him to read the report properly as Turquoise's Fleet's three-layers of defense and flash magic were ineffective against Japan's Mach 2.25 ordinances. With the War Council heated up the debate, Military King Minett suggested that since the coalition's power is concentrated at Silkark, they must devise a plan on how to lure the coalition's forces on one place and there, the whole of Cryseilis will destroy the coalition at once, making Silkark defenseless. Minett proposed a plan by faking a surrender to the coalition forces in the city of Waqaskalt, a military city west of Cryseilis. There, Minett wants to dispatch a fleet, with enough sighting distance to Waqaskalt and attack the coalition's fleet, along with its diplomats. If the said attack was ineffective, Cryseilis will use their ultimate weapon, the Kil Ravernal, to destroy the coalition forces. Kamulla rejected this plan since it will affect not only the country's standing by botching up diplomatic negotiations, making Cryseilis untrustworthy, but also making the city a battlefield, thereby sacrificing the lives of the citizens of Waqaskalt. Minett replied that Kamulla will be the one and only who will fake the surrender as a "sign of patriotism". Kamulla was shocked by these moves of Minett (making Waqaskalt a battlefield and faking a surrender), however, he unconditionally agreed to the Military King's plan.

Submission of (Fake) Surrender[]

Two weeks after the meeting, Kamulla met up with the coalition's diplomats at the Japanese Embassy in Silkark. Here, Kamulla was greeted by the following:

  • Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomat Asada Taiji
  • JMSDF 4th Escort Group Assistant Admiral Hirata
  • JGSDF Silkark Coalition Commander Ouchida Kazuki
  • Parpaldian Wyvern Overlord Corps Commander Hamuth
  • Silkark Kingdom Foreign Affairs Minister Karq
  • Others

Kamulla presented the terms of "surrender" "unwillingly" to the coalition forces. He was mocked by Hamuth by saying Cryseilis surrendered to the coalition with just one defeat, adding that even the barbarians that Parpaldia faced before put up several fights before surrendering. Kamulla replied that it was not Parpaldia that made Cryseilis surrender but Japan's military might. Kamulla handed the terms of surrender to Asada, and this summarize the following:

  • The Cryseilis Holy Kingdom, the Silkark Kingdom and the countries supporting Silkark (Japan, Parpaldia Empire, etc.) conclude a mutual non-aggression treaty.
  • Cryseilis wants to do a signing of surrender ceremony at Waqaskalt, a city west of Cryseilis.
  • In order to show that Cryseilis' will for peace is genuine, it was stated that the coalition's fleet are also invited to the signing ceremony.

Kalk and Asada was pleased about the developments and wanted to sign the terms immediately. However, Asada felt that something was off. Kalk received the documents from Asada and asked Kamulla what happened, to which Kamulla only replied that Cryseilis wants peace and reconciliation. Suspicious, Kalk said that they will read the terms carefully and will give Silkark's reply at a later date. Kamulla departed Tacaq immediately.

Later evening, Asada, Hirata and Ouchida, etc. talked about the meeting hours ago. Asada said that he was confused at these developments, to which the others agreed. SDF personnel said that based on their satellite images, Cryseilis still has considerable military strength left at their mainland, so this also confusing for them. Asada asked if there was a coup d'etat happened at Cryseilis. Ouchida said that there's no such movement happened at Saidor based on satellite data. The attendees think that this move of Cryseilis could be a fake surrender and they will conduct an all-out attack against the coalition during the signing of the peace agreement. Everyone in the meeting remembered what happened during the Eleven Country Leadership Conference wherein insane things happened, so they concluded the meeting with the following:

  • Japan will try to negotiate with the Silkark Kingdom to delay its response to Cryseilis' offer.
  • The coalition will proceed with the signing of the Terms of Surrender, but with caution. Said move will be coordinated with the other coalition members.

3 months after the meeting, the coalition went to the Cryseilian city of Waqaskalt for the signing of the fake Terms of Surrender, along with the fleet of the member countries: the Parpaldian Imperial Fleet deployed their warships within the range where it can hit Waqaskalt, and Japan deployed the 4th EF, with the exception of one ship, is on standby around 150km offshore, with Mitsubishi F-2 fighters, Kawasaki P-1 Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Boeing KC-767 aerial tanker and Boeing E-767 AWACS in the surrounding skies.

Everything is ready. Silkark and Parpaldia, who believes in peace. Japan turns suspicious, and the Cryseilis Holy Kingdom plots an assault at the signing.

The gears of history turned into a clash...a battle that will cause a lot of damage.

Battle of Waqaskalt[]

A man in his early 30s, later identified as Secretary of Defense of Waqaskalt, El Gan'en, listens to the report, with his pride higher than human heights. The citizens were already evacuated, and the Air Fleet, along with magic cannon amplifiers were aimed directly at the port. The Dragon Knights were also standing by from headquarters, waiting for orders. On his possession is the key to activate Kil Ravernal, the ancient weapon left behind by the Darkmoon race. There were speculations that if the mission succeeds, El Gan'en would be elected as the next Military King. He would activate the weapon once he receives the order.

On the signing day, the flagship of Parpaldia's Defense Fleet Against The Civilized Outsider, Parpaldia's 120-gun Magic Ships-of-the-Line, Justice led by Captain Garlas, would soon arrive. Above the sky were 5 Wyvern Overlords with a dragon carrier on guard. The JMSDF arrived earlier, with a Kongō-Class AEGIS Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG), Chokai is positioned 7 km away from the shore. Looking at the ship itself, he was grateful that Japan was not the enemy on this conflict, rather, the mission could turn into a sightseeing with Japan as the main force. El Gan'en looks at Parpaldia's ships-of-the-line, stating that the airships can handle it, while staring at JS Chokai much to his curiosity that he wants to know Japan's fighting power. His adjutant reports that seven warships from Parpaldia were deployed in a 10km circular formation. He would stick to the plan, waiting for the signal from the foreign affairs.

The Silkark Kingdom sent Hal Kirk, a member of their royal family, to sign the treaty. However, instead of a vibrant, historical city filled with citizens who were joyous of the occasion, they are greeted with gloominess. Bayer's instincts were raised upon seeing Kamulla 's attitude, the arrogance of a conqueror and not the humble diplomat that they saw last time. Upon arrival, Kamulla delivers a secret order to raise the alertness to level 1, and also insisting Hal Kirk to sign the pact immediately. Hal Kirk was furious as Kamulla didn't guide him to the Guest House to conduct the signing. As Kalk read the papers again, he was angered as the paper instead tells the unconditional surrender of Silkark. Commander Bayer, sensed the danger when he saw Kamulla fled from the coalition's ship, quickly ordered the crew to raise anchor. As predicted, 120 Cryseilian units were approaching to their position.

70 km southeast of Waqaskalt City, a small mountain in Konia was converted into a secret base. The 120 Dragon Knights were sortied from there and the airships were also well-hidden. Seiruto, the Commander of the Holy City (Saidor) Defense Dragon Knights, personally lead the battle as they were aiming to destroy Silkark's coalition fleet on Waqaskalt. As Garlas expected, he ordered his crew to prepare bombardment on the city. Before the bombardment commenced, however, a lookout spot thirty cannons fired from the land, heading towards the ship. With a narrow evasive maneuvers, two projectile hit the starboard side but only caused minor damage due to the anti-magic steel plating of Parpaldian warships. As Garlas tries to find other options, Chokai open fired and bombarded Cryseilis' ground cannons' positions, surprising Justice Captain Garlas and Commander Bayer to witness Japan's firepower once again. Inside the Chokai, since the using of long-range missiles were prohibited, they would leave the air defenses to the Parpaldia Imperial Navy.

Wyvern Knight Captain Plank led the coalition's flying column with 10 Wyvern Overlords. He remembered when Japan invaded the Parpaldia Empire, and it was a one-sided battle, which he can't afford to fight Japanese fighter aircrafts. But seeing the opponents were common wyverns this time, he knows that he wouldn't lose against it. Leading the flying column, Parpaldia's ten Wyvern Overlords would clash against 120 Cryseilian Wyverns.

Seiruto, sortied with his Dragon Knights, saw ten Wyvern Overlords from distance, got cocky of outnumbering it 12 to 1. Being experienced in aerial combat with dragons, he knew that group tactics would be an advantage. However, it seems that fate told otherwise, the Overlords attacked the air group using the sun as cover and its maneuverability outclassed Cryseilis' Dragon Knights. Moub was the first casualty from the dragon knight order, and Elzhiki follows suit as they can't catch up with the Parpaldian Overlords in terms of speed and tactics. The air engagement ended with Seiruto as the sole survivor, with the Parpaldia Overlords also withdrawing, completing their objective. Bayer was relieved when Parpaldia secured its first victory since the Japanese-Parpaldian War. Later, the Parpaldians received a radio message from Japan, stating that he and his men should withdraw and would let Japan handle the 50 incoming airships. He complied to Japan's demand and would commence bombardment once the airspace is secured. El Ganen received the report of their Dragon Knights' annihilation, at the same time, the Cryseilian Royal Family also authorized him to use Kil Ravernal arsenals. Reinforcements from the Divine King's Air Fleet were dispatched to repel the assault, with a Flying Battleship Pal Chimera as their flagship, named Divine Emperor Gausser (In Cryseilis naming). Military King Minett ordered all of the airships to sortie and assist the Divine King's Air Fleet. The Cryseilian Pal Chimera is now two hours away from Waqaskalt, and the crew wore uniforms with code number and appearance similar to Holy Milishial Empire's Pal Chimera crew. The Captain of the Cryseilian Pal Chimera wore a red suit, white mask, and pointy hat. There was a tale said that the Captain wear such, as a sign wanting to get closer as that of those from the Ravernal Empire. Aerolit, the Air Group commander, wouldn't expect he got such order from the Divine King to destroy the enemy's fleet. Gundrite, the captain of Cryseilian Pal Chimera, received orders from Aerolit to commence the assault. Included in the order is that they are allowed to use their stocks of anti-ship Guided Magic Warheads that were made since the time of the Ravernal Empire's rule on the New World.

The Kil Ravernal's interior size is as large as a gym, ancient characters drawn on the wall and square in the space. The pilot is at the center, which only operated by El Ganen. He laughs as he finally received authorization to operate it. The Kil Ravernal itself is a massive golem, with a height of 200 to 300 meter, and advancing to Waqaskalt coast. Offshore, Parpaldia's 120-gun warship Justice, Garlas and Bayer saw the giant golem walking towards them. The magic radar's screen is filled with white color. Since the specifications is unknown, he wants to engage the massive golem first. The Kil Ravernal counterattacked by firing 120 magic cannons at them, scoring 20 hits. When Garlas and Bayer got clear sight once more, they saw is that the Kil Ravernal's upper body is a moving fortress. El Ganen mocks them as 120-gun Justice started to retreat. To make it worse, Garlas is knocked out and Bayer assumes command, ordering the Dragon Knights to suppress the golem from the air. But, it open its mouth, revealing six magic circles, and fired lasers, severing the Dragon Knights in two, other burst in flames, and some fall from the sky. The Kil Ravernal used its fist to attack Justice, splitting the ship in half, throwing Garlas and Bayer away from the ship as the ship sunk, and El Ganen laughs.

120km east of Waqaskalt, the Air Fleet watches as the Kil Ravernal rampages towards the coalition. Captain Gundrite authorized the used of God's Flame, which can only be used once. The target is Japan's Kongō-Class AEGIS Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) Chokai. Once the charging is complete, Gundrite launched the attack. They were fired from vertically-positioned launchers affixed to "the front of the Pal Chimera", with the target is JS Chokai. Captain Minamino and his crew were in frenzy, as Japanese satellites never saw the Pal Chimera beforehand (presumably because they were stored underground), hence their sudden appearance in the battlefield being a surprise to the Japanese. The Ravernal anti-ship missile fired by the Cryseilian Pal Chimera was launched vertically and flew towards the Chokai in a parabolic trajectory.

Mutaguchi, the Chokai's Fire Control Operator, looks in disbelief as the command were also tensed after witnessing Japan attacked by guided missiles for the first time. The movement of the object looks like to be guided weapons, but the firing angle is shallow, drawing a gentle parabola, and slower than speed of sound. Furthermore, it has large radar detection area. As the CIC tries to verify whether it was only one object or there'll be more, Mutaguchi only confirms that there's only one ordinance launched towards JS Chokai. Mutaguchi decides to launch two missiles as a countermeasures, with intention to destroy the God's Flame. Aboard Cryseilian Air Fleet's Command Bridge, the crew were taking picture of the ordinances. Commander Aerolit sips his drink, thinking the enemy would be deterred by the weapons appearance. As they thought it was according to the plan, a radar operator informs that JS Chokai fires two missiles to God's Flame. It can't be tracked and captured on visual due to no magic signature. Aerolit and Gundrite thought that the weapons wouldn't hit since it's 70km away, thinking God's Flame can't be intercepted. He has information about Japan's guided missiles, but to see the missiles intercept God's Flame is unthinkable. As the crew countdown towards the impact, one of the missile hits the God's Flame, and the weapons were destroyed, saved for one missile fired from JS Chokai that continues to head towards their position. Noticing the threat, Gundrite orders front fortification and have the entire topside Athratates cannons to shoot it down. As the guns continues to fire, none of it hit the missile. The missile's speed goes beyond the Athratates cannons can intercept, the crew decides to shut the gun down and focus on defense while the crew brace for impact. When the missile hits, it drains 70% of its shielding. The shielding would take 10 minutes to recover with maximum engine power.

Aware of the threat, Gundrite orders all-out attack on JS Chokai, realizing the threat it pose to the Aerial Battleship. Aerolit interjects but Gundrite knows the threat JS Chokai pose, he orders the crew to launch the entire God's Flame. Aboard JS Chokai, Unabara orders Mutaguchi to use the SSM-1B, and he verifies whether the SSM-1B is modified for anti-air attack. Once Unabara verifies it, Mutaguchi fires 12 SM-2 and 2 SSM-1B Kai (10 SM-2s to intercept the God's Flames while the last 2 SM-2s to further weaken the magic defense shield and the lone SSM-1B kai to finally destroy the Pal Chimera. The bridge of the Cryseilian flagship turns to chaos once they witness the entire God's Flame was intercepted. Utilizing the Athratates cannons again, it manages to shot down 1 SM-2 in desperation, but Gundrite orders the crew to brace for impact as the Athratates cannons enters cooling down due to overheat. The remaining SM-2 successfully damaged the Electromagnetic Reflection Radar, and the magic essence stabilization at the front shell was unstable. Gundrite wants to withdraw, but the airship fleet was waiting behind them, and they don't want to stain the honor of the Divine Emperor Gausser. Adding to their nightmare, the SSM-1B arrives in subsonic speed. Since the electro radar is out of action, the crew uses manual countermeasure using Cruscalibur to intercept. A six-pointed star appears, firing laser from it, and Gundrite pray it would shot the SSM-1B down, but to no avail. The SSM-1B struck the Gausser, destroying the flagship to three parts, killing the entire crew with it. The air fleet can do nothing to witness the Gausser's last stand. At the palace, upon witnessing the live feed of the Gausser was shot down, Warrior King Minett descends to madness for a while. A man clad in black robes approached the Warrior King, 'suggesting' that the enemy would avoid the Kil Ravernal and will head straight to the capital Ceider, opting Minett to use another 'legendary weapon', this time, against the JSDF reinforcements located 150km from the capital.

Menas laughs as Minett thinks of the worst, believing that he has still the superweapon operable. But Minett debunk it, as the superweapon have so much power that they have to sacrifice the civilians, in which Menas is willing to take that risk. Minett realized that the entire reports from Northwest and Japan were wrong in original, which led him to conclude that Japan's strength is abnormal. He was confident with Cryseilis' military power, even though they have mastery over 90% of Pal Chimera. Much to his nightmare, however, Japan destroyed it with a single ship. Thinking back, the report made by the princess is correct.

Minett considers the use of the superweapon capable of annihilating everything in one blow to stop the Silkark-World Union Coalition from breaching the Holy City. However, to use it requires a tremendous amount of magic power, that can only be compensated by the Royal Treasure and Ring of the War God. He considers of using it, but he needs authorization from Lady Lamis who possesses both Treasure and the Ring. Recalling the tale from Founding Myth Chapter 2, Paragraph 1, Cryseilis was born after a dragon with eight heads and tails were sealed at the Northwest World. The artifacts itself was stored at God's building, and the the large amount of supernatural power stored at the War God's Building. Minett ponders why he can't harness its power. After some thinking, Minett reported to Menas, as he was now authorized to use the superweapon. The weapon can be used almost immediately after the first shot without any side-effect, with the Japanese fleet as the first target.

At the room with a magic circle, five archmages stands at each five-pointed star, and begin the preparations. The magic power charging connects to the God's Wing, and is looking from the sky, it's like a shining cross like a ground cruise. The archmages casted the final spell, dubbed as "Meteor," begins its firing towards Japan's Destroyers. As the magic machine resounded, the five archmages were burned to cinders from the blue flame. The projectile is released, akin to an actual meteor, similar to a fragment of the star with a red trail. Menace claims that the sacrifice of the five archmages will not be in vain.

At the 4th Escort Flotilla's position. They detected an anomaly akin to a ballistic weaponry, which turns out the projectile comes from the space. The said weapon was detected at 8 o'clock direction, distance 30 km, altitude 1,080,000 feet or 329,184 meters, 3 projectiles, and estimated speed of 4,600 kph or close to Mach 4. The JMSDF encounters an unexpected ballistic attack deployed by Cryseilis.

As the JMSDF Chokai detected the meteors, it was mistaken it initially as ballistic missiles . Kojima thinks hard before decided to make a gamble on intercepting it using RIM-161 Standard Missile 3. Six SM-3s were launched to intercept the three meteors. The Military King laughed, believing that the JMSDF can't stop the meteors as it reaches speeds up to 50,000 kph. The moment the SM-3 hits, however, they were dumbfounded. Each meteor is struck by two SM-3, shattering each of it to pieces, lose control, and fall to the ground. The crew inside Chokai were grateful that the SM-3s successfully defended the ship from the meteor's attack. Hirata quickly ordered the immediate counterattack. In the meantime, at War God's Headquarters, the staffs were frozen in silence, to think that JMSDF managed to destroy the meteors. Furthermore, since the mages were dead, the weapon itself can no longer be used. Minett feel the chill of death, realizing Menas took off his robe and reveal his true identity, smirking at Minett. Menas was a member of the Darkmoon race and declared war against Cryseilis and Japan. The guards tried to eliminate him, only to be proven futile as the bullets of their magic assault rifles slow down and stopped a few centimeters from Menas. Menas had already prepared every countermeasures to resurrect the ancient creature, with Cryseilis as the first nation to be consumed by the malevolent beast (In essence, as the Cryseilians decide to use the divine magic spell against the Japanese flotilla unknowingly diverting a lot of divine magic power from the seal that keeps the Yamata no Orochi contained, and as the seal was weakened, now its going to be unleashed). Menas also took the Kil Ravernal as he escaped. With Menas disappeared through black fog, Minett and the Command Staff can only shocked when they felt massive tremors. At Cryseilian Capital Ceider, Neith declared herself the leader of the kingdom by using the Article 8 of 11 of their royal decree, granting her full authority over every military command as the leaders of Cryseilis like Divine Queen Lamis and Divine Prince Yarisla already escaped the capital. She ordered every personnel to retreat back to the capital, and prepare for an impending doom. Gahara Thearchy already warned them about the possible return of the Yamata no Orochi, which would soon turns to a reality.

The sniper unit led by Gun God Darcino reported that the Yamata Orochi has appeared. Under the Gun God's instructions, no one is allowed to engage until Orochi has been determined as the enemy. Once Orochi launches the attack, it is then marked as an enemy. Using magic sniper rifles, the Sniper Squads begins to open fire and succeeded in wounding it. In retaliation, however, it fired a beam attack, adding Pato Inari's squad to the grave. Darcino ordered his platoon to open fire to Orochi's eyes. Unfortunately, one of it was missed, and Orochi thrashes around. Darcino orders his men to descend and evacuate the residents as soon as possible. As soon as his men descends, Darcino takes the shot, but unfortunately, he only do a slight damage to Orochi. Just then, the Royal Fleet send reinforcements. As the Royal Fleet opens fire, Orochi retaliate and two of it were destroyed. Another salvo and another two were lost. Captain Salgar looks in despair, and he turns to Ciedron. Ciedron participates as delegation team to Japan, which he has knowledge about Japan. But now, he only has one card left, and that is to have the Royal Family send the new warship. Utilizing Link Flight and Operation, all operational ship, saved for six old ships, were ordered to evacuate west and draw Orochi's attention. He authorized to use Melgarante (a powerful magical implosion attack), Link Flight and Ops trump card, with the risk of losing the entire fleet. As the Captain questioning his decision, Ciedron's decision remains firm as he prepared to die to protect Cryseilis. Those who chose to not take part were tasked to abandon ship with parachutes. Executing Melgarante, Ciedron believes his sacrifice is worth it, as Holy Princess Neith witnessed it. Much to her horror, however, Orochi remains standing but sustained heavy damage. Refused to budge, Neith was put to sleep by Mira and evacuated from the city. The JMSDF, having rescued the surviving Parpaldians (Justice crew) from the Kil Ravernal attack, received news about Orochi's rampage and prepares to fight it at Waqaskalt.

Aftermath[]

First Battle between Cryseilis and Japan-Parpaldia-Silkark Coalition[]

Over 30% of the Cryseilis Holy Kingdom's valued Air Fleet was destroyed, and even their most powerful magical weapons and defenses were useless against Japanese weaponry. For now, the threat of invasion had ceased.

The only losses on the coalition's side was just over two dozen Parpaldian wyvern knights.

Japanese counter-attack[]

By hitting the two airships flying on patrol, and one crashed directly into the barracks, this immediately caused immense human casualties on the Cryseilian side. Further SSMs appeared on the horizon, striking the Command Center, the Magic Fuel Depot, and numerous airships at rest on the ground, wiping out another third of the Air Fleet, thus destroying the Sechtomay Combined Base at the island of Talkris.

Battle of Waqaskalt[]

Parpaldia Empire's 120-gun Magic Ship-of-the-Line Justice suffered minor damage from the bombardment of Cryseilian magic cannons. However, those ground-based magic artilleries of Cryseilis at Waqaskalt were easily neutralized by the naval bombardment of the JSMDF's Kongō-Class AEGIS Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) Chokai.

120 Cryseilian regular wyverns were annihilated by just 10 Parpaldian Wyvern Overlords, citing Parpaldia Empire's first victory since the Japanese-Parpaldian War.

The flagship of Parpaldia's Out-of-Range Fleet, the Super Phishanus-Class Ship-of-the-Line Justice was destroyed by a punch from the Kil Ravernal.

The kingdom's flagship, the Flying Battleship Pal Chimera Divine Emperor Gausser was taken down by Japan's AEGIS destroyer.
