Demi-Humans are a general term for any partially human and humanoid races in the New World, including elves, dwarves, and various races.
Description[]
Demi-Humans are a name for non-human races that possess a physical human-like appearance or feature human-like characteristics, making them fairly easy to identify. They may or may not have special, magical, or supernatural abilities, but they are generally a form of true breeding population. Demi-humans are, on the genetic level, distinct from humans.
True demi-humans are naturally occurring species, often native to the New World. Magic sometimes creates and evolves demi-humans or at least what appears to be demi-humans. It is not clear how the demi-humans in the New World are related to humans in the continents, but it seems to believe in fantastical and mythological species in Earth, which do not exist. Japan had a surprising discovery of the existence of a wide variety of humanoid races after transferring to the New World.
They are common in the New World and makeup about a third of the inhabitants of the Qua-Toyne Principality and the Quila Kingdom. However, some nations discriminate against them, and the Louria Kingdom was committed to the eradication of subhumans.
Types of Demi-Human Races[]
Elves[]
Elves are magical-gifted humanoids with pointy ears. They have the most magical power of all humans. They are an extremely long-lived race. Most elves have a lifespan of about 2000-3000 years, while High Elves are almost immortal. However, elves called Town Elves, who live in villages and towns have a much shorter life span, only about 250 years, which is explained by their genes being mixed with other races, making it's less "purebred". Perhaps if Japan could analyze their genetics, this could unlock a method to increase human longevity as well.
Dark Elves[]
Dark Elves are a sub-race of elves with dark brown-colored skin. It believes their native resides in the Awan island, who seem to live in separation from their fair-skinned counterparts.
Dwarves[]
Dwarves are short humanoids, but they are dexterous and skilled in manual labor. They are also much stronger than humans, but a dwarf faced off in a sumo wrestling match with a yokozuna, and apparently the yokozuna was completely powerless.
Dragonfolks[]
Dragonfolks are dragonoid humanoids that they are one or two times larger than humans. They had dark skin but otherwise looked very similar to human beings. However, they had very small scales covering their entire bodies. They have two horns on their heads, and their hair and eyes are red. They are said to be the second strongest race after the elves in terms of magic power and physical strength.
Beast People[]
Beast People are humanoid beings with animalistic traits, typically the ears, faces, and tails as part-animals. There seem to be several races, such as the cat race and the wolf race. They have the strong physical strength that is incomparable to humans.
Halflings[]
Halflings are hybrid offsprings of two different humanoid races, who were half-and-half could look different with traits despite having the same basic genetic makeup.
Winged People[]
Winged People are winged humanoids that look like humans but possess small wings that sprout from their backs, one half is back, and the other half is white. They have more magic power than normal races. They claimed to be the direct descendants of the Light Winged People. However, they don't seem to have interested in other races outside the world.
Light Winged People[]
Light Winged People are angel-winged humanoids, which are characterized by the angelic-like light wings that form during their use of magic. They are known to possess high intelligence and high amounts of mana that they managed to build an advanced magical civilization and technology, but so arrogant that they decided to surpass even the gods.
Darkmoons[]
Darkmoons are dark moon humanoids, that disappeared somewhere in the New World nobody could figure out where they are. They only ever enter the minds of people when the New Moon, a dark moon, rises.
Near-Human Demi-Humans[]
Demi-humans whose appearance closely parallels that of a standard human are often referred to as near-human-like elves and dwarves. Elves look very similar to humans, with their telling physical feature being their pointed ears.
Physical differences between these creatures and standard humans are, comparatively, minor. Common examples are additional limbs and changes in the structure of physical organs. A typical example of a near-human demi-human would be a half-breed beastmen like Moizi and Ore, who would possess an additional limb (a tail) and altered physical structures such as non-humanoid ears. This is a fairly broad category; for convenience, it could be considered that near-human demi-humans are generally ones whose facial structure closely resembles that of a normal human.
Far Human Demi-Humans[]
Demi-humans whose appearance is wolf beastman like Kenshiva with lesser resemblance to a standard human are generally referred to as far human. Quite often their facial structure is altered to include a form of snout; heavy coverings of fur or digitigrade mobility are also common traits. For those whose appearance wolves strong traits and other feline-like traits from a standard non-sentient animal species instincts related to their creature type are typical; these individuals may display distinctly non-human thought processes and reactions.
