JASDF Gifu Air Base

Gifu Airbase is an air force base of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in Kakamigahara City, located east of Gifu in the Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

Description

Gifu Airbase is located at an elevation of 128" above sea level to the south of Kakamigahara in the Tokaido Section of Gifu Prefecture in the Chūbu Region of central Honshū in Japan. Adjacent was the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Kakamigahara Plant. Also known as Kakamigahara Airfield or Kakamigahara Airport. Today known as Gifu Airport or JASDF Gifu Air Base. It is home to the Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum.

It still in use Gifu Airport as a military base used by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). The single runway is oriented 28/10 measures 8,860" x 150" surfaced with concrete.

Preparations proceeded steadily amid the battle against the Parpaldia Empire, Sergeant Oka Shinji of the JGSDF’s Itami garrison stretched his back in front of a hangar at the Gifu Air Base, their designated assembly point.

More than 50 JGSDF personnel, including Oka Shinji, together with their arms and necessities for survival, boarded the C-2 transport plane as an advance investigation team. The C-2 lifted off from the Gifu Air Base in Japan to the skies above as it set course towards the northeast of Grameus continent.
