Japan (日本; Nippon or Nihon, which means "land of the rising sun" or, literally, ""sun origin"), also called Wa and Yamato in ancient times, is an island country around which the events of the Nihonkoku Shoukan series take place. It consists of 47 administrative prefectures distributed into 8 regions and is one of the largest economic and military powers on both Earth and the New World. Japan is a very high tech country and has an ancient culture with many traditions. Since adopting its constitution in 1947, Japan has maintained a unitary constitutional monarchy with an emperor and an elected parliament, the National Diet. Originally located in the region of East Asia of planet Earth, Japan was magically moved to an entirely new world, east of the Philades continent and north of the Rodenius continent, in January 2015.
According to the method of geopolitical and technological categorization employed by the international community of the New World, Japan is classified as a country outside the civilization area, which means that it is located in that peripheral region of the planet that contains all the nations with the most primitive level of science and technology and weakest military (rather ironic considering that, following some research, it was discovered that Japan is actually the most technologically advanced nation in the entire New World). After defeating the Parpaldia Empire, the fourth strongest nation in the New World, Japan was awarded the title of new superpower and recognized as a driving force of global politics. The country's political prestige grew even more during the New World War, when it became evident to almost all the nations of the New World that the most decisive military successes against the Gra Valkas Empire had only been possible thanks to the intervention of Japan, while the Holy Milishial Empire, holder of the position of first superpower, had continued to suffer devastating losses without achieving noteworthy results.
History[]
Archaeological research indicates that people were living on the islands of Japan as early as the Upper Paleolithic period. Historical documents from the continent of Mu state that there was some kind of bond of friendship or alliance between the ancient inhabitants of the Japanese islands and the ancient Muvians. After Mu's transfer to the New World around 12,000 BC, the oldest written mention of Japan begins with brief appearances in Chinese history texts from the 2nd century BC. Between the 4th and 9th centuries, the kingdoms of Japan became unified under an emperor and the imperial court based in Kyoto. Beginning in the 12th century, political power was held by a series of military dictators (shōgun) and feudal lords (daimyō), and enforced by a class of warrior nobility (samurai). After a century-long period of civil war, the country was reunified in 1603 under the Tokugawa Shogunate, which enacted an isolationist foreign policy. In 1854, a United States fleet forced Japan to open trade to the West, which led to the end of the shogunate and the restoration of imperial power in 1868. During the reign of Emperor Meiji from 1868 to 1912, the Empire of Japan adopted a Western-modeled constitution, abolished the feudal system of the daimyō and samurai and pursued a massive program of industrialization and modernization. From the end of the 19th century into 1945, Japan engaged in colonial adventuring, participating in both World War I and World War II. After suffering defeat in the Pacific War and two atomic bombings, Japan surrendered in 1945 and came under a seven-year Allied occupation. In 1947, Japan adopted a new constitution emphasizing liberal democratic practices. A period of record growth propelled Japan to become the second-largest economy on Earth; this ended in the mid-1990s after the popping of an asset price bubble, beginning a period of economic stagnation.
During World War II, an unknown phenomenon caused a group of soldiers in the Imperial Japanese Army to be transferred to the New World. This group managed to defeat and drive the army of the Demon Lord, Nosgorath, off which succeed in saving the hopeless war between the humans, elves, and others races in the New World. As they departed back to Earth, a Zero Fighter plane was damaged and left behind. The people of the Qua-Toyne Principality and Topa Kingdom as well as the elves, dwarves, and others races who participated in fighting the Demon Lord and his army worshiped the Imperial Japanese Forces as Emissaries of the Sun God. The Zero Fighter was preserved in the holy temple of the Elves.
Based on the information disclosed in the Web Novel and in the Light Novel, Japan was transferred to the New World in mid-January of 2013 (Web Novel) or 2015 (Light Novel).

Military[]
Japan Self Defense Forces (自衛隊 Jieitai), JSDF, also referred to as the Self-Defense Forces (SDF), Japan Defense Forces (JDF), or the Japanese Armed Forces, are the unified military forces of Japan that were established in 1954 and are controlled by the Ministry of Defense. The JSDF consists of three branches: JMSDF (Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force), JASDF (Japan Air Self-Defense Force) and JGSDF (Japan Ground Self-Defense Force)
The country's military is restricted by Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution, which renounces Japan's right to declare war or use military force in international disputes; it prevents Japan from researching and manufacturing offensive weapons. Nevertheless, an amendment would later be written in the constitution thus enabling Japan to participate in existing conflicts. Despite being branded as a "Self-Defense Force," the JSDF ranks among the top 10 strongest military back on Earth.
After being transferred to the New World, Japan quickly realized that it lacked the forces and weapons necessary to deal effectively with threats in the New World. This causes them to conduct an ambitious weapons program in various areas to deal with these new challenges. This weapons program focuses primarily on the development of long-range, high accurate, offensive weapons, in support of the "active defense" doctrine proposed by the Ministry of Defense:
- Build four aircraft carriers: It will help Japan strengthen its naval strike capabilities and maintain its air support capability anywhere, instead of relying on ground airports. The construction will be guided and advised by USARJ.
- Research stealth technology to use for aircraft.
- Researching GPS-based weapons such as long range cruise missiles.
- Building a global positioning system for civil and military purposes.
- Researching new transport aircraft based on the Lockheed Martin C-5 Transport Aircraft.
- Increase the number of JSDF personnel and officers, up to 400,000 people. In addition, tanks, armored vehicles, surface warships, submarines, fighters, etc. will also be built more. The number of escort groups will increase from 4 to 7.
- Researching ICBM, supersonic stealth cruise missiles, AGM-158C LRASM (Long range anti-ship missiles) and hypersonic weapons.
- Developing a land-based ballistic missile interceptor using data left behind by the US Army.
- Research atmospheric re-entry for rockets for this planet.
- Upgrading anti-ship missiles capable of targeting anti-air to be used against massive aerial targets like the Pal Chimera
- The research of Thermobaric Bombs and Bunker Busters and eventual use for the JSDF to defeat enemies like giant monsters
The nuclear weapons program since WW2 is now revived as the National Diet approves the deployment of nuclear submarines and to secretly research nuclear weapons. All arsenal restrictions from every treaty from Earth, such as the Geneva Convention is now being lifted due to the defense of the homeland takes priority over anything else, and in addition to preparing Japan for any future threat than the Gra Valkas Empire. Recently, Japan has finished the development of ASM-3 to replace ASM-2.
After the victory against the GVE Great Fleet, the Japanese Ministry of Defense took the advantage of massive profit from the booming economy to expand the military further with additional highly ambitious proposal projects.
- Constructing four Yamato-Class Guided-Missile Battleships.
- Developing rail guns and laser weaponry for anti-air purpose based on the AN/SEQ-3 Laser Weapon System
- Expanding investment in building nuclear reactors to power ships like aircraft carriers or the Yamato-class Guided-Missile Battleships.
- Since there are resistance from many people in the government about building battleships since it is much cheaper to build more escort ships, there is a proposal to build arsenal ships instead of battleships.
The quantity of the JSDF, as a whole, is often lower than most military forces in the New World, but they make up for in the extreme quality of their weaponry, in which a small number of JSDF forces can crush enemy force far larger than them in sheer numbers. However, JSDF still try to expand their manpower even more since even extreme quality in weaponry and technology is never enough but the recruitment is getting into trouble since the current salary and benefits are considered to be not worth for many Japanese citizens to enlist to put their limbs and life on the line.
Besides the superior military technology, one of the most powerful advantage Japan has over all of their enemies so far is their rich and long history of bloodshed and ideas back on Earth, most especially the lessons from the Sino-Japanese Wars, World War 1 and 2, and the knowledge of every known war and conflict in their old world's history with the teachings of the great war philosopher Sun Tzu and his most famous work, The Art of War. Consequently, Japan is extremely cautious in handling all kinds of enemies. No matter how primitive and technologically inferior their enemies are, the JSDF strictly prefers to avoid any and all sorts of casualties, having learned that even an inferior force can deal great damage if one is not careful (In reference to the Vietnam War, the Winter War, the Zulu Wars, etc.). Subsequently, unlike all the countries in the New World, Japan constantly has a firm grasp of the military capability of all their enemies, whilst nations of the New World and the Gra Valkas Empire charge blindly to their doom against a clearly superior foe.
Due to the nature of "Knowing Your Enemy," a natural doctrine embedded in every Japanese personnel, Japan persistently and thoroughly studies every possible opponent's fighting capabilities before making a decision, which then they send an appropriate force to deal with the threat. Japan also adapts to life-threatening situations swiftly so as to prevent friendly fire incidents, and they continue to constantly update their IFF tags (Identification Friend or Foe).
Politics[]
Japan is a constitutional monarchy and a sovereign state whereby the power of the Emperor is limited. As a ceremonial figurehead, the Emperor of Japan is defined by the constitution to be "The Symbol Of The State And Of The Unity Of The People." Executive power is wielded chiefly by the Prime Minister and his cabinet, while sovereignty is vested in the Japanese people. Japan's legislative organ is the National Diet, a bicameral parliament; It consists of a lower House of Representatives with 465 seats, elected by popular vote every four years or when dissolved, and an upper House of Councilors with 245 seats, whose popularly-elected members serve six-year terms. There is universal suffrage for adults over 18 years of age, with a secret ballot for all elected offices. The prime minister as the head of government has the power to appoint and dismiss Ministers of State, and is appointed by the emperor after being designated from among the members of the Diet.
Influenced by the traumatic past of World War 2, Japan's political attitude generally followed the pursuit for peace and an emphasis on peaceful negotiations to resolve domestic and international issues. This made Japan odd in the eyes of the New World nations (where imperialism and expansionism run rampant and unchecked on a daily basis in the foreign relation between countries); many of those countries did not understand the gentle and friendly behavior of Japan, despite having the military and technological power to dominate the New World. Unfortunately, this also leaves Japan often underestimated by belligerent superpowers, leaving Japan troubled by this ideological conflict. On the other hand, the war-like hegemony and the violent ideology of this world forced Japan to adapt to be more militant. After the incident with the Parpaldia Empire and the Gra Valkas Empire, the National Diet suggested a more aggressive policy against the potential hostile force as the government realizes that the New World lacks international courtesy and global diplomatic standards back on Earth. Prime Minister Yomoya then reinstituted a somewhat "Gunboat Policy" against any hostile countries or forces potentially being a national threat against Japan.
State Organizations[]
Government Offices[]
These are the national and local government offices responsible for the administration of Japan. It also includes organizations that belong to the judicial and legislative powers. In a broader sense, "public offices" such as courts, police stations, and the prime minister's office may also be classified as public offices. Since it is difficult to classify them, they are not included here.

Geography[]
Japan spans over an archipelago of 6852 islands covering 377,975 square kilometers (145,937 sq. mi); the five main islands are Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Okinawa. The Ryukyu Islands, which include Okinawa, are a chain to the south of Kyushu. The Nanpō Islands are south and east of the main islands of Japan.
Because of its mountainous terrain, approximately 67% of Japan's land is uninhabitable. The habitable zones, mainly in coastal areas, have extremely high population densities. As of 2014, approximately 0.5% of Japan's total area is reclaimed land.
Tokyo is Japan's capital and largest city; other major cities include Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Kobe, and Kyoto.
Economy[]
Despite having to import food and natural raw resources from other countries, such as Qua-Toyne, Japan has the most powerful economy in the New World due to its advanced and automatic industry as well as an extreme investment in well-developed civilian economic sectors especially in terms of non-military manufacturing and general services. These elements enable Japan to sustain and grow its economy tremendously without being a warmonger like most civilized countries in the civilized areas. The country's most lucrative main exports in the New World are transportation like automobile or commercial ships, food and beverage products, life-improving products, and mundane electronic devices. However, based on the Japanese government's "Technological Outflow Act", the manufacturing processes of all exported technological products must be tightly kept confidential to maintain Japanese national technological superiority and trade secrets for Japanese corporations. Healthcare is also the country's most lucrative service export as countries like the Magicaraich Community, on one instance, hired numerous Japanese doctors and nurses to treat their injured soldiers, even though healing magic is a prominent use in the New World.
At first, when Japan had just transferred, its economy seemed to be wobbly due to the sudden loss of food and raw material supplies as well as export markets, along with other issues such as foreign currency devaluation and becoming worthless, joint venture businesses with foreign countries went bankrupt, etc. However, the government's salvation policies as well as establishing diplomatic relations with resource-rich countries like the Qua-Toyne Principality or the Quila Kingdom helped the Japanese economy overcome the initial crisis and start to stand firm again.
Japanese cars are widely adored by a lot of countries in civilized areas and superpowers, especially Mu due to the quality and hi-tech features. Food and beverage products like sweets, beers, and soft drinks are well-liked by a lot of countries both inside and outside civilized areas.
Japan also separate the military and civilian work properly due to the large demand of the New World was beyond their expectation and to strengthen the defenses. Despite Japan continues to create more arsenals, the company that often handles both civilian and military projects, such as Mitsubishi must distribute their manpower properly to ensure both demands are fulfilled.
Japan put an investment at least a million to each country where Japan has forged a diplomatic relationship with. Before the betrayal of the Riem Kingdom, Japan already put at least 1 billion yen worth of investment there.
The defeated country, such as the Louria Kingdom, is also become a target of investment as long as the country is no longer affected by economic sanctions. Each country has its own specialty and Japan is willing to invest depends on where they want to develop it. The Kingdom of Fenn mainly receives investment for tourism while Mu mainly receives investment for Ferry ship include transport such as Port, Tankers, and etc.
The economy on Japan starts booming as the stock price rise sharply, while the request of port renovation from multiple countries and tanker ship was plentiful, enough to generate up to ten-year waiting list to complete the request. Many experts say this economic boom is promising enough to escape the "Economic Bubble" trap. However, this results in many civilian casualties, commonly the cause of death because of overwork or simply known as Karoshi, even though the Japanese already has tons of automatic robots to support all industries.
Underworld[]
The Yakuza rules the Japanese underworld. Despite being crime syndicates, the Yakuza mostly being tolerated by the Japanese people and authority due to their strict code of conduct and honor in which they try to minimize civilian casualties during conflicts as well as various philanthropic works.
Discipline within the Yakuza is harsh, which members who offend the upper-ranked members in some ways either failure in assignments or breaking Yakuza laws must undergo Yubitsume ritual to sever their fingers to atone for their misdeeds.
The main businesses of Yakuza includes: racketeering, protection, prostitution, gambling, smuggling, armed dealing, waste disposals as well as several legitimate businesses like hotels or restaurants. The Yakuza strictly forbids petty crimes like robbery, thief or burglary since they are waste of time and drawing unwanted attention from the public.
After being transferred to the New World, large Yakuza syndicates like Yamaguchi-gumi or Inagawa-kai still keep operating in the usual manners like back on Earth and almost shows no interest in government affairs with countries in the New World as long it doesn't concern them. However some small-time Yakuza clans starts to be "creative" in their turf wars by smuggling wyverns to be used as living attack helicopters against rival clans. Because of this, Japanese authorities makes private ownership of dragons illegal with 10 years prison as punishment.
Technology[]
Japan's Technology is currently is the most advanced in the New World in both civilian and military. For civilians, Japan put a lot of investment in automatic industries, robotic technology, mobile application, and other technology related to civilians. Qua-Toyne Principality and Quila Kingdom stated that their living standard has been increased dramatically due to being the first country to receive Japan's civilian technology. After getting into many conflicts in the New World, Japan starts to gear toward spending more of its resources into military technology development when it comes to new technology development.
In terms of military technology, despite Japan is unable to use any GPS-guided arsenals at the moment due to lack of satellites, Japan can compensate it by utilizing spotters such as RF-4EJ and E-767 to assist in finding and locking the target. Additionally, since Japan already develop the concept known as BVR (Beyond Visual Range) and radar that can achieve 1,000 km range, Japan can sortie the necessary amount of warships and fighters for the interception.
Although most JSDF arsenals are mostly copying US advanced military technologies like the Cobra Attack Helicopters or AEGIS system, the Japanese actually are able to create them on their own due to the strong scientific and innovative foundations of the country back on Earth. However, the most important fact is that they can fully understand 100% of the scientific and technological principles behind it, unlike the Holy Mirishial Empire who only knows to imitate without trying to dig deeper into researching the underlying principle of the Ravernal Technology they uncover. This fact also enables Japan to be able to upgrade their current arsenals further to become more formidable while HME was completely stagnant in improving their technology. The best example is the Japanese are able to upgrade their destroyers to be able to launch Tomahawk cruise missiles or modify their launch vehicles good enough to launch into the orbit of the New World.
Foreign Relations[]
Japan has diplomatic relations with nearly all independent nations from Earth.
After being transferred to another world, Japan deploys P-3C planes to search any civilized countries in the vicinity and establish diplomatic relations with them since it cannot survive itself without foreign resources.
Despite being literally the most technologically advanced and powerful country in the New World, Japan often being looked down upon by hostile nations and few superpowers in the new world since the country is positioned outside the civilized area as well as having quite a small army. Furthermore, due to Japan pacifist foreign policy, it makes the country looked weak from the perspective of the expansionist and warmongering nations like Parpaldia or Gra Valkas, resulting in Japan often suffering unnecessary losses, like when the Parpaldia Empire killed 200 Japanese tourists or like when Japan dispatched a patrol ship Shikishima instead of a destroyer to the Eleven Country Leadership Conference, making it easily destroyed by the Gra-Valkas' Grade Atlastar battleship, reflects Japan's ignorance of the New World.
On the other hand, Japan's friendliness is favored by other weak nations, which are often pinched by stronger nations, because the power of Japan provides them with an "umbrella" for defense, while the economic and scientific-technological benefits help them to improve their country many times.
The Elves often worship the Japanese as the Emissaries of the Sun God due to the action of Imperial Japan in past of saving them from the Demon Lord's Army.
Outside Civilization[]
Qua-Toyne Principality[]
They are the first country that Japan made contact since its transition to another world. After the visit on Japan, both of them sign a treaty and they start to respect and adore Japan further after they succeed in liberating Gim and bringing King Louria into custody. Japan relies on the food sources from Qua-Toyne Principality and in exchange, Japan will protect Qua-Toyne.
Quila Kingdom[]
They are the second country that Japan made contact since its transition to another world, and while their relationship with Japan is rarely mentioned since Japan relies on the natural resources of the Kingdom of Quila, the relationship is thought to be good and friendly. Although they have little in terms of farmland, they have a huge wealth of ore deposits and more importantly, large crude oil deposits.
Louria Kingdom[]
The first encounter of Japan and Louria didn't start good at the very beginning due to the fact that Japan opened diplomatic relations to Qua-Toyne, a demi-human country. This hostility became a direct confrontation when Louria launched a genocidal war against the demi-humans of Qua-Toyne and Quila. After the short but one-sided war, Louria was defeated, the country suffered a short civil war and divided into 4 independent countries. Louria became a hub for investment for Japanese companies and they are the most sought after by the Lourians due to their high wage and good benefits.
Fenn Kingdom[]
Japan opened relations after their war with the Louria Kingdom. While the technological level of the nation was inferior, the officials from Japan were impressed with Fenn in its cultural aspect. They reflected that it was a living example of true Bushido, a philosophy that had been long forgotten in Japan since WW2.
Altaras Kingdom[]
Japan made its first diplomatic arrangements with Altaras when Princess Lumies came to asylum in Japan. With the outbreak of the Japan-Parpaldia war, Lumies was used by Japan to call on the people of Altaras and other colonies to revolt to disintegrate the Parpaldia Empire, in return for regaining independence for Altaras.
The relationship between Altaras and Japan right now is very friendly due to their alignment in the war against the Parpaldia Empire. In the opposite direction, Japan also attaches great importance to Altaras for the same reason, as well as Altaras' strategic guard position for their maritime route to the Second Civilization Area and marine resources.
Gra Valkas Empire[]
Japan became aware of the Gra Valkas Empire shortly after the transfer. Some were interesting in trading with the Empire, given its higher technology standard, but this was considered impractical due to the distance.
Gra Valkas became Japan's enemy instantly after their first contact at the leadership international conference when they forced them and other countries to submit to their rule. Things escalated when Gra Valkas attacked the port town Cartalpas, destroying their escort ship. Despite the pleading of the Japanese government to release the crew of Shikishima since their Coast Guard are not part of the military, but their demand was refused and their Coast Guard were publicly executed.
To dissuade Gra Valkas from hostility, they showed them the video about WW2 to compare the Empire current technology to the past old technology that they used to possess and show the huge gap between their technology to theirs. Due to their arrogance of destroying the Japanese patrol boat, which they mistook as a warship plus their ignorance about the JSDF's prowess, they refused to believed Japan's claims and treated as propaganda and pointless scare tactics. However, they tried to reinforce their force just in cause. Later on, they destroyed their cargo ship of cars and gunned down all survivors. Japan's Ministry of Defense concluded that if the Gra Valkas were left alone, they would develop their technology enough to become a major threat as well as conquer the 2nd and 1st Civilization Areas, putting Japan in danger.
This caused Japan to officially declare war on Gra Valkas by sending the 7th Division to expel the occupying forces at Mu. Japan managed to successfully flushed Gra Valkas out of Mu by destroying the strongest armor division, the 4th Division along with the invasion fleet. Additionally, since Japan is the only country that possesses the most advanced medical knowledge, the Crown Prince Gra Cabal was taken into Japan's custody for healing after receiving a third-degree burn from the attack of World Union force in Valkyries Base in Leifor.
Following the capture of Gra Cabal, Gra Valkas ordered Japan to return him but refused. This enrages them as they sent the massive fleet of the invasion force, aiming to destroy Tokyo. Once again the recklessness and ignorance of Gra Valkas in regards to Japan's superior military power causing them to blindly attack Japan without knowing a single defensive measure the JSDF put on to deter the invasion, causing the Gra Valkas to suffer tons of catastrophic losses without inflicting a single damage to the JSDF.
After losing far too much to the Japanese in the failed invasion of Japan, the Gra Valkas finally and regretfully took Japan with absolute seriousness but also deep terror as they regarded Japan as their most dangerous enemy they have ever faced and far superior than any countries back in Yggdra. Their fear of Japan was so deep at this point in which they not only forced themselves to fight a defensive war against Japan but Japan's attacks were enough to send them into panic.
Annonrial Empire[]
Japan has no established relations with this country despite efforts to do so. In fact, Japan has come to regard the Empire with suspicion due to it attempting to pass itself off as a low technology country when in fact it is among the most advanced in the world, and then becoming aggressively defensive if Japan questions them on this fact.
Most recently, the two countries have come into conflict over the Annonrial Empire's covert activities in the Esperanto Kingdom. Though the countries are still at peace, Japan has made it clear to the Empire that they disapproves the Empire's actions.
Third Civilization[]
Parpaldia Empire[]
Japan attempted to open relations with the Empire, but its ambassadors were dismissed by the officials as being barbarians due to their shallow arrogance. They were vicious enough to execute 200 innocent Japanese tourists in Fenn which enraged the Japanese diplomats. In response to this massacre, they demand the Empire to withdraw their army from Fenn and pay reparations for the families or getting their army destroyed by the JSDF. Without knowing Japan's superior military prowess, they refused their demand without a second thought.
After defeating the Imperial Army in Fenn, the Empire declared a war of genocide against Japan to avenge their shame while completely ignoring the one-sided massacre suffered by their army in Fenn against Japan. Only after the JSDF wiped out more than 90% of their army and instigated successful rebellions from Parpaldian territories while suffering zero losses, the Parpaldians finally realized far too late that they have self-destructed themselves against the force they shouldn't have messed with in the first place and surrendered to Japan.
During the New World War, it is revealed the Parpaldians fear the Japanese more than the GVE.
Riem Kingdom[]
At first the relationship between Japan and Riem could be considered good, with Japan investing at least 1 billion yen here. However, due to demands and pressure from the Gra-Valkas Empire along with the ignorance in the strength between Japan and Gra Valkas Empire, Riem leaned towards the Gra-Valkas and proceeded to freeze Japanese assets here. That caused Japan to suffer heavy economic losses and turned the relationship between the two countries into hostility. The retaliation of Japan against Riem eventually results in the death of King Bank and all Riem officials along with the majority of the military, leaving the country in ruin.
Second Civilization[]
Mu[]
Mu establishes relations with Japan upon witnessing their power against one of the New World nations. The relationship between them and Japan is also considered to be very friendly, especially in the field of technology research cooperation.
Mu's eagerness to pursuit Japan in the growth of technology makes this country a major ally for Japan. Most of Japan's products are very well-received such as cars and commercial products.
Due to Mu lack of understanding of international conducts and relations back on Earth, some Mu officials deeply admire the Japanese for surviving in a world full of powerful superpowers with monstrous and extremely advanced technology (US, Russia, China or other superpowers) and thriving, unaware that back on Earth, the international relationship is much peaceful than in the New World.
First Civilization[]
Holy Milishial Empire[]
Before the establishment of relationship between two countries, a large group of Holy Mirishial imperial government officials suggested gunboat policy on Japan and smeared at the prospect of they have to make contact with Japan first than the other way around as they assumed Japan is primitive country due to being located outside civilized area, despite Japan's achievement in crushing the Parpaldia Empire in short amount of time.
The attitude of the country soon changes when a group of diplomats visited Japan and was absolutely flabbergasted with Japan's far superior technology in every aspect. Although the visited diplomats stated that Japan must not be treated as barbarians and the country is truly far superior to Holy Mirishial Empire based on what they truly saw in Japan soil, the large majority of Holy Mirishial Empire's officials still skeptical of the truth because of Japan's total lack of magic.
During the course of the New World War, as Japan gradually scored tons of victories and dealt heavy damages to the Gra Valkas Empire, surpassing even the Pal Chimera possessed by Holy Mirishial Empire, the country started to respect Japan even more and Emperor Milishial VIII even stated that Japan is a formidable country. However, at the same time, they still skeptical of Japan in dealing with the Gra Valkas Empire as a whole since they know less about Japan than Mu, especially when Gra Valkas mobilized the Great Fleet to attack Japan. This result in the emperor ordered a Pal Chimera to help Japan fight the Great Fleet to decimate the common enemy as well as getting some credits as they knew fully well that Japan will undermine their influence further if they score more major victories.
"Our magic fleets cannot emerge victorious over Japan, let alone the ancient sorcerous empire.”, HME official admits Japan's superiority over the HME
After Japan defeated the Great Fleet and the superior military technology of Japan is known more by HME government, most HME officials and the Emperor himself start to thinking of learning and acquiring Japanese technology to strengthen the country. At the same time, they also admit no current HME magical technology can stand a chance against Japanese superior mechanical technology and only excavated original Ravernal Empire magical tech can stand a chance, which makes the HME focusing on excavating more Ravernal tech; at the same time, seeking to approach and absorb Japanese technologies in order to narrow the technology gap with Japan
Others[]
Ravernal Empire[]
Though the Ravernal Empire is physically absent from the New World currently, Japan is aware it may return and is actively preparing for such a scenario. The Japanese have engaged remnant Ravernal military forces in the form of the Demon Lord Nosgorath. They are the very reason why Japan was transported to the New World.
Cryseilis Holy Kingdom[]
Trivia[]
- Japan is the only country in the New World that possesses space technology, nuclear weapons and technology as well as robotic tech.
- The Japanese are the only people that has been transferred twice to the New World.
