The Japan Self-Defense Forces (自衛隊, Jieitai), JSDF, also referred to as the Self-Defense Forces (SDF), Japan Defense Forces (JDF), or the Japanese Armed Forces (JAF), are the unified military forces of Japan that were established in 1954, and are controlled by the Ministry of Defense.
History[]
Back on Earth, the JSDF is one of the strongest military organizations in terms of conventional power and capabilities (excluding the use of nuclear weapons).
After the transfer, they are still a force to be reckoned with, scoring tons of victories without losing a single man in battle due to their advanced military technology.
Defense Policy[]
The country's military is restricted by Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution, which renounces Japan's right to declare war or use military force in international disputes; it prevents Japan from researching and manufacturing offensive weapons. Nevertheless, an amendment would later be written in the constitution thus enabling Japan to participate in existing conflicts.

JSDF Overseas Bases in the New World[]
- JSDF Ejey Base, Qua-Toyne Principality - First JSDF base at New World. It is a star-shaped base with a multi-purpose airport nearby. Located in the Fatal Plain, east of Ejey Fort. So far, it is still the most described base in LN. One of the two most guarded JSDF bases
- JSDF Nahanath Base, Nahanath Kingdom - Originally built by Mu to transport magic gems back home; however, when Gra Valkas Empire invaded Japan, Japan renovated it as an outpost to intercept the invading fleet of Gra Valkas.
- JSDF Lebail Base, Altaras Kingdom - Located on the outskirts of Le Brias, it was also built by Mu to transport magic gems back home due to one of the large scale of magic gemstone stored there. Japan renovated it for use as a launching point for the airstrikes of the capital Esthirant of the Parpaldia Empire and used to ambush the 3rd Special Task Force from the Gra Valkas Empire's Great Fleet. One of the two most guarded JSDF bases .
- JSDF Goma Base, Sios Kingdom - The base serves as a tourist attraction for the kingdom.
- JSDF Barrat Base, Quila Kingdom
- JSDF Tormeus Base, Topa Kingdom - Established after Operation Momotarou.
- JSDF Esperanto Base, Esperanto Kingdom - Established months after contact with the kingdom.
- All of Mu Army bases had undergone renovation according to Japanese standards. Example of this are the Enuvia Airbase and Ainank Airport Base. The JMSDF has a base also in the town of Patel in Northern Mu.
- JSDF Western Louria Airbase, Louria Kingdom
- Valkyries Base, Leifor Territory (WN) or Hinomawari Kingdom (LN) - The base is proposed to be renovated and used as an FOB to capture the Hinomawari Kingdom and do attacks on Leifor.

- Some armies, especially knights of countries outside civilized areas or countries with medieval level of civilizations often scoff and belittle JSDF soldiers at the first glance due to the camouflage outfit they wear since the green military suits are considered to be lack of grace and elegance compared to knight armors. This causes some of knights and military officials of these countries to assume that JSDF soldiers are savages who cannot make shiny armors. However, after the demonstration of JSDF firearms, all of the knights and military officials regret their misjudgment.
