The Liberation of Hinomawari Kingdom is a joint military operation between Japan and Mu to liberate the Hinomawari Kingdom. The purpose of liberating Hinomawari is to establish an airbase in the kingdom to liberate Leifor.

Japan and World Union Army[]
As part of the operation to liberate Leifor, Japan proposed to Mu and the Holy Mirishial Empire their plan to liberate the Hinomawari Kingdom to use it as staging ground to attack Gra Valkas force and then reclaim Leifor. The Holy Mirishial Empire took the advantage of the proposal to try to acquire Japanese tech.
Meanwhile at Harunagakyo, the capital of Hinomawari, third princess Freyja argued with Dallas about the food distribution controlled by the Gra Valkas military and demanded the Gra Valkas to release their food stocks to the seriously starving people of the country. Dallas makes it clear that the well-being of the people of Hinomawari was non-important to him and mocked that Hinomawari does not give anything useful back to the Empire so they do not have any rights to argue with the Imperial government. Enraged with the disregard of the Gra Valkas, Freyja angrily slapped Dallas and left. Seeing Freyja as an highly inconvenient annoyance, Dallas ordered the Gra Valkas troops to get rid of her.
A cook worked in the Subjugation Office overheard the assassination attempt and informed the princess's royal guard. Freyja and her royal guards eventually escaped the palace using secret tunnel while some of the royal swordsmen stayed back to sacrifice themselves buy time for the princess to escape. Freyja successfully escaped as her palace was being burned down. Freyja and her royal guards then decided to head to Valkyries Base to seek out the JSDF for help against the Gra Valkas.
Gra Valkas Empire[]
Following the defeat of the Gra Valkas Empire's Great Fleet, the JSDF utilizes this momentum to strike while the iron is hot while the Gra Valkas Imperial Army are going full defenses. While the Gra Valkas Imperial Navy are occupied by the sudden Assault on Irnetia Kingdom by JMSDF's submarines, the Gra Valkas Occupation Force at Mu continent began fortifying their defenses around their conquered territories on the continent.
During this time Dallas figured out that the JSDF's weakness is that they are not ruthless enough to ignore collateral damages so Dallas was highly confident that the JSDF would not bomb Gra Valkas force in Hinomawari capital as Gra Valkas military facilities were built closely to populated areas of the capital. As the result, Dallas realized that using innocent civilians as meat shields could give Gra Valkas some leverage against the JSDF.
Prelude to battle[]
During the meeting between Ouchida and Mick in Valkyries Base, Ouchida proposed a night time attack, which Mick and the Mu military commanders were unsure of as they did not known the capability of JSDF in striking targets during night time. Ouchida also made it clear that the JSDF would use Joint-Direct Attack Munitions on Gra Valkas targets to effectively minimize collateral damages. At the same time, Freyja and her group made it to Valkyries and met with Ouchida and Mick to discuss the attack plan.
During the meeting, Freyja explained that her country surrendered to the Gra Valkas not only because Hinomawari was too weak to oppose Gra Valkas Empire but also the fact that surrendering would enable the royal family to negotiate with GVE in not enslaving the people of Hinomawari and making sure the people would not starve. Despite signing formal treaty, the Gra Valkas never honored it with the Empire's soldiers committed tons of atrocities on the Hinomawari people ranging from rape, random public execution and lootings. At the same time, she received a letter from a pigeon carrier sent by a loyalist noble stating that after she escaped, her sisters were executed and her father and brother, the prince were arrested by Gra Valkas. The nobles were forced to completely destroy any form of domestic government in Hinomawari. Enraged, Freyja initiated National Protection Law, which transferred the function of the domestic government to her while requesting the JSDF to leave Dallas to be suffered under the hands of the Hinomawari laws after JSDF, Mu and Holy Milishial Empire getting rid of Gra Valkas Empire forces from the capital.
At night time, they discuss the operation plan. Ouchida was concern that JSDF military technology is less effective in land combat than air and sea combat due to massive collateral damages involved as well as the unpredictability of land warfare like guerilla attacks. At the Japanese mainland, the Ministry of Defense reported that HME was ready to sortie their fleet to Irnetia Kingdom while Japan also ready their F-15Js, F-2s, and P-1s along with E-767 AWACS from Enuvia Airbase in Mu. The JMSDF submarines departed from Patel, a port town on the northern part of Mu, heading also to Irnetia. During the meeting, the Japanese officials expressed seriousness in defeating the Gra Valkas completely by pointing out that 200,000 innocent Japanese would be killed if the JSDF failed to decimate and repel the Great Fleet and showed concern of the collateral damages that might occur during the liberation of Leifor.
Battle[]
Harunagakyo Air Strike[]
At night, Dallas has just finished his work and stares at the stars on the sky. While the homeland was aware, Gra Valkas Empire won't budge or retreat from Hinomawari to maintain what is left of their influence. All of sudden, a JSDF F-2 fighter destroyed the governing building and Gra Valkas imperial military dormitory of the Gra Valkas with a bombing run. Dallas, minutes away from the office, saved by a skin of the teeth due to his early leave from his office.
The Gra Valkan anti-air guns in the military base fired blindly in the air in panic but are immediately demolished afterward by the missile strike. Dallas was shocked that the JSDF guided missiles can distinguish the Subjugation Authority buildings with Hinomawari buildings in a crowded populated city since Gra Valkas imperial scientists theorized that guided missiles are only effective in open area to precisely strike targets without collateral damages. The destruction of Gra Valkas Empire facilities in the city eventually makes Dallas to recall back Asada's words about the massive tech gap between Gra Valkas Empire and Japan, causing him to terrified to the core as he runs as fast as he can to escape the city toward the forest.
Meanwhile, within the basement of the destroyed Gra Valkas Imperia Subjugation Authority building, Olle Butz, an incompetent and irresponsible chief governing officer, screams at his subordinates of how no one could detect JSDF airstrike beforehand and how can fight against aircraft with infantry. Trying his best to salvage the situation, Olle Butz ordered his remaining force to prepare for ground invasion force starting with destroying the bridge that leads to the capital city and the assassination units prepare to ambush JSDF Special Forces. However, as they prepare for defense, he detected five shots from the flares from JSDF force, signaling a large scale invasion. Panic, Olle Butz states that he has to escape the city to call for reinforcement using the camouflaged runway and leaves his troops behind. He then leaves the city with the Star Cloud passenger aircraft much to the dismay of his left-behind troops.
JGSDF Helicopters Attack[]
Vice Chief Jagner rallies the 280 force to prepare for the large scale attack starting with the plan of luring enemy force at the center of the bridges and blow it off and the assassination unit under Commander Sheen will use civilians buildings to ambush enemy force with machine guns and anti-tank weapon. He then emphasizes the defense of the East Gate due to being the most vulnerable. Jagner then states to his force that they must hold the city at all cost until reinforcement arrives.
During this time, Dallas is walking through the mountain pass to go another extra 250 km to reach the city controlled by Gra Valkas Empire. He curses and growls at Japan for making him to endure the hardships he is experiencing now.
As the Gra Valkas Empire force prepares for the attack, the assassination units are confident of their ability due to their experience in dealing with special force from the Kain Divine Kingdom back in their world. Vice Commander Fur Hart states that they will need to blow off the buildings they are hiding when the situation becomes dire. He then reveals the sinister plan of using Hinomawari civilians as meat shields to make the JGSDF wastes their bullets and divert their attention away from the assassination unit. As Fur Hart and his troops are overwhelming with confident, their joy are cut short as four JGSDF AH-64D attack helicopters approach the city. Unware of the capability of attack helicopters, Fur Hart smeared that the gunships and thought they were easy targets as the Apaches are much slower than Antares aircrafts but as soon the Apaches unleashed their missile strikes and autocannons, the Gra Valkan defenders were helpless against the attack as the Hellfire missiles demolished all the GVE-occupied buildings and machine gun posts, resulting in the demise of all assassination units and Fur Hart himself. Meanwhile, the 1st Airborne Brigade (JGSDF) landed on the north of the Hinomawari capital and proceeds south to the center of the Hinomawari capital.
Destruction of the Subjugation Authority[]
At the army underground command room, the remaining defenders' morale plummeted upon learning the destruction brought upon by the attack helicopters. When there's no message coming from above the base, Jagner came above the command building and horrified to learn that all the ambushed positions and the whole assassination squads had been destroyed. Seeing the situation was hopeless, Jagner decided to radio the Japanese to signal their surrender. However, moments later, the Star Cloud passenger aircraft that carries Olle Butz, whom the Gra Valkas imperial defenders thought flew just moments before the attack of Japan, recently take off and decided to attack a flock of Wyvern riders from the Nigrat Union after their surrender, killing Delker, a wyvern rider. The Apache attack helicopters had managed to shot down the Star Cloud, killing Olle Butz in the process. Because of this, Dahl, the 3rd Flying Dragon Squadron Captain, has decided to take revenge by killing the remaining Gra Valkas imperial defenders and the surrounding area in the bases, killing Jagner, all remaining Gra Valkas imperial personnel under the base and 279 civilians. The fall of the Gra Valkas Empire force in the capital officially signaled the liberation of Hinomawari from the Gra Valkas Empire and the Second Civilization coalition now conducting clean-up operations to take down Gra Valkas remnants in the kingdom. Eventually, they succeed in liberating the country.
Aftermath[]
At Envier Air Base and other air bases in Mu, P-1s, BP-3Cs, F-15s, and F-2s lined up on the runway were taking off one after another and now heading west toward Leifor. Each of them had been assigned a clear target for destruction. With the skies above Hinomawari is clear, the JASDF are launching an assault on Leifor.
