Malastras is the aide of Demon Lord Nosgorath and a member of Demon Lord's Army.
Background[]
He is a member of the Oni race, but it is unknown whether he undergone genetic engineering from the Ravernal Empire. For the Topa Kingdom, he was a living plague, responsible for the death of over 100 Topan Knights.
Appearance[]
In the manga version, Malastras is a winged demon with bat wings, sharp claws and bird-like feet. His face and most of his body is covered in a hood.
Personality[]
Malastras is very loyal to Nosgorath's cause and mission: to destroy humanity and make it sure that they didn't advance for the easy conquest of their creators once they return, the Ravernal Empire.
He has a tendency to show off and reveal his presence when he was "offended", citing his arrogance as he thought he can't be killed by the Topan knights. However, his arrogance led to his death as he was killed by the JGSDF Advance Platoon led by Momota Tarou.
Chronology[]
Pre-Operation Momotarou[]
Somehow, he escaped the destruction of the Demon Lord's Army at the hands of the Emissaries of the Sun God during the first invasion as well as the sealing of the Demon Lord. He patiently wait and prepare for the return of Nosgorath. Later he discovered the then newly-established Esperanto Kingdom, but he didn't destroyed the kingdom. Instead, he allowed the kingdom flourish in order for the army to have food, conducting only small raids for food gathering, making the human-only kingdom its "livestock farm".
Operation Momotarou[]
During the Second Invasion of Nosgorath, he attacked the on-going conference of Topa and the JGSDF at Castle Tormeus and managed to kill the vice-captain of the Topan knights. However, he was easily killed by the Type-89 Assault Rifle of the JGSDF without him making cry.
Abilities[]
Much like his master Nosgorath, he can also summon black flames with his Hellfire spell that can turn living beings into cinder in blink of an eye. However, like all Oni, he is extremely weak and utterly powerless against firearms as the JSDF end his life as quick as he ends the Topan knight. He also shows to have the ability turn his body into a swarm of bats to quickly move around.
