Chronology[]

Japanese-Parpaldian War Arc[]

After Japan and Fenn Kingdom formed a diplomatic relationship, there were now regular high-speed ferry services that traveled to the capital city Amanoki as well as to a town Nishinomiyako that brought in droves of Japanese tourists for sightseeing. Japanese tourists played around and explored as though peace were eternal. There were almost 1,000 Japanese tourists staying in Nishinomiyako.

When the Parpaldia Empire began to invade Nishinomiyako, the two Fenn warriors alerted them on the watchtower on this small island by red smoke signal. Upon seeing the red smoke, the Fenn warriors were getting ready for battle and were heading to the coast near Nishinomiyako.

The Parpaldian imperial ships-of-the-line fired the shells and blew up over the town where Fenn citizens ran around, panicked, trying to flee the destruction.

When the Parpaldian imperial entire battalion had arrived, they fought about 200 warriors over the coast. However, the Fenn warriors fell one after another and were completely wiped out. Then the imperial army was heading for the western castle and destroyed it by fire blasts from Parpaldian wyvern lords. Both the Fenn military quarters and all the coastal barriers had been destroyed.

The Parpaldian imperial army occupied the Nishinomiyako. They searched and captured 200 Japanese tourists around the town by order from Foreign Affairs Auditing Office, Remille.

Under occupying Nishinomiyako, the majority of Parpaldia’s great fleet was stationed offshore. They had already established a base in Nishinomiyako, their ground forces had already departed for the capital Amanoki, and twenty gunboats were also dispatched to serve as support.

After Nishinomiyako massacre, Japan sent sixteen JMSDF escort ships to battle against the Parpaldia Empire fleet offshore Nishinomiyako. They fired at the distance about 10 km, and the entire fleet was sunk by the attack from the complete out-range for the Parpaldia side. As a result, the Parpaldia Empire Navy lost one out of third of its total strength.

A short time later, having lost its main force, the remainder of the imperial army surrendered to the Fenn army when they came to take back Nishinomiyako.

Since then, Nishinomiyako will hold an annual festival called “Fire of Pillar Festival” where bundles of wood are shaped into boats then set on fire, creating great pillars of flames.
