Artist's Rendition of a Phishanus Class Ship-of-the-Line

Phishanus-class Ship-of-the-Line is a class of 100-gun magic ship-of-the-line deployed by the Parpaldia Empire.

Description[]

Considered to be the pride of the Empire, it is one of the symbolic forces of the Parpaldia Imperial Navy, equipped with the latest anti-magic steel armor. It is armed with 100 magic cannons (50 cannons on the right and left sides) and anti-air ballistae. It uses sails equipped with Tear of the Wind God.

The only one that can be clearly confirmed to have deployed more than 100-gun class ships-of-the-line in the production is the powerful Leifor, which has the same level of technology as the Parpaldia Empire. However, in the war against Japan, it was completely unable to compete with the Japan Self-Defense Force's destroyers and fighters and was unilaterally destroyed along with other warships.

In the New World War, Information Technician Naguano from the Gra Valkas Empire saw  a picture of the prided 100-gun class magic ship-of-the-line of the Third Civilization superpower, the Parpaldia Empire during his research on weapons of various countries, but it is unknown if it is the Phishanus class. If it were considered an antique, the cool appearance had him going passionate for it.

Service History[]

Washinashi[]

A 100-gun ships-of-the-line of this class, Washinashi, was used as flagships for the Parpaldia Imperial Oversight Army’s Eastern Fleet in the Battle of Fenn Offshore‎. The JMSDF guided-missile destroyer Myoukou was in the range of their guns, the Washinashi opened fire on the Myoukou. While none of the shots hit the target, the JMSDF destroyer quickly withdrew out of range of the Parpaldian cannons and started firing warning shots. When the Imperial Oversight Army fleet attacked the JMSDF destroyer again, it used its accurate gun to target the masts of its ships immobilizing them. Admiral Poquetoire realized that the Eastern Fleet won't be able to win the battle with this strength and that the destroyer Myoukou didn't intend to sink any ships. But he had also surmised that the enemy’s objective was not to kill or wound anyone, so he ordered the retreat. The Washinashi withdrew completely intact.

Phishanus[]

A 100-gun ships-of-the-line of this class, Phishanus, was escorting a squadron of dragon carriers during the Battle of Fenn Kingdom, but was hit by an JASDF F-2 fighter's Type 93 air-to-ship guided missile and sank.

Thirant[]

A 100-gun ships-of-the-line of this class, Thirant, was used as flagships for the Parpaldia Imperial Navy to invade the Altaras Kingdom. The Altaran ship-of-the-line Silanto counter-attacked with their Bolt of the Wind God head of the bolt and sailed a Tear of the Wind God attached to it for improved range. While most of them missed the Parpaldian Fleet, ten of them scored direct hits on the Parpaldian flagship Thirant. They did considerable damage to the warship, but its anti-magic steel plating prevented it from being sunk or even rendered inoperative. The flagship Thirant together with the rest of the fleet then fired a second, more destructive salvo on the now outgunned Altaran fleet, which was destroyed by the Parpaldian Fleet.

In the Battle of Fenn Kingdom, the Thirant traveled to the Fenn Kingdom with the Imperial Navy Fleet after the invasion of Altaras Kingdom, but it was hit and sunk by the shell from the JMSDF guided-missile destroyer’s 127mm single-mounted rapid-fire gun.

Addis[]

A 100-gun ships-of-the-line of this class, Addis, was used as the ship for the Imperial Navy 3rd Fleet in the Great Naval Battle of Esthirant. The JMSDF guided-missile destroyer Kirishima and Ashigara fired and hit the Addis and other twenty ships over twenty kilometers by shells from 127mm single-mounted rapid-fire gun. The large numbers of explosives were set off, inducing an explosion that erased the empire’s ship-of-the-lines Addis from existence.
