Topa Kingdom (トーパ王国, Tōpa Ōkoku) is a country located in the northeast of the Third Civilization Area. The country is connected by two continent, Philades and Grameus.
History[]
A kingdom bearing the title of the Topa Kingdom was one of the many emergent nations after the Ravernal Empire disappeared from the New World, roughly in the same location as the present day kingdom. The original kingdom was destroyed when the Demon Lord Nosgorath invaded from the Grameus Continent onto the Philades Continent, serving the departed Ravernal Empire by keeping the native races in check until their return.
Several years after the invasion began, Nosgorath and his severely depleted army passed through the area again, this time pursued by the Alliance of Races and the Emissaries of the Sun God, really a combined force of Imperial Japanese soldiers and sailors transported to the New World. The combined forces ceased their pursuit, and it was suggested that the survivors of the Demon Lord's attacks re-establish the Topa Kingdom as a means to prevent another invasion by the Demon Lord or the many dangerous creatures that resided on the Grameus Continent. As one last gesture before they departed back to their world, the Emissaries helped the Alliance build the Doors of the World, a massive fortification across the isthmus that could be easily defended.

Military[]
True to its purpose, the Topa Kingdom maintained a military meant to hold back forces attempting to invade the continent, and near constant skirmishes have allowed it to retain many skilled and experienced fighters. Topa also reinforces its armed forces with sellswords, such as Gai. In terms of composition, its forces are relatively low tech compared to other nations in the world, consisting of knights, other melee infantry, archers, cavalry, and combat mages.
The country have a navy, but details are unknown.
Topa was previously involved in technology trade with Parpaldia, but its unknown what if any military technology was gained from these trades.

Parpaldia Empire[]
Before the arrival of Japan, the Topa Kingdom was one of the many countries under pressure by the Parpaldia Empire, and would send tributes of slaves for shares of outdated technology. They remained independent, although still looked down upon. When Nosgoroth invaded the kingdom, Topa's ambassador requested military aid from Parpaldia. The Empire denied this request, showing a complete disregard for the Kingdom's mission to defend the continent.
After gaining aid from Japan and opening trade and diplomatic relations, Topa cut ties with Parpaldia, including its tribute of slaves. Parpaldia was initially outraged by this, making it clear Topa would lose access to technology shares. However, the Topa ambassadors dismissed the threats by saying, "We are allied with Japan now."
Japan[]
The Topa Kingdom was one of the first civilizations to establish diplomatic relations with Japan after its brief war with the Louria Kingdom. Like the Qua-Toyne Principality and the Quila Kingdom, the Topa Kingdom sees the benefits of allying themselves with Japan and have enjoyed a significant increase in technology and standard of living.
